Where do we start? Where you are. We do an assessment of your culture, look for the magic seeds that are working + the obstacles to growth, then decide next steps.
Based on Phase 1, we craft an integrated plan leaning into the CLICK framework, that could include pilot projects, communications, data creation, coaching + more.
We may then run rapid, mini pilots from work in Phases 1 + 2 to see what's working + what's not. (You can elect to run these on your own without me or have me in the wings for support.)
Where do we start?
With a holistic look at where you are.
We'll collect relational data, analyze it + make recommendations for conditions, strategies + tactics to foster belonging in the short and long-term.
Generally Team Leads end up doing the relational labor to help others cultivate connection to self, teammates + the larger company mission. They need support + the chance to innovate unique ways to foster belonging. And it needs to feel like play, since after all, relationships are at root, joyful. :)
Often the first step is to break open the conversation in an inspiring, casual, low-risk way. Listening to Cat's story can provide an easy onramp into authentic sharing from others in small groups. This initial "seed" conversation can easily spill into a series of team chats that Cat can help facilitate.
The quality of our relationships is the #1 predictor of our wellbeing. Cultures that promote wellbeing have a greater positive impact on their clients, employees, and stakeholders.
We are wired to connect deeply and broadly, so we work with our social natures when we invest the attention, honesty, time, and energy into our relationships with ourselves, each other, and our environments.
Hiring for EQ is great, but the need to train to enhance EQ is a huge advantage. Relationships change, meaning we can always take our mastery to new levels.
You matter. You are irreplaceable. Your presence, experience, wisdom, personality, life story and skills are totally unique, respected, and given a place to flourish. You belong here.
Why am I doing this? All work can be meaningful if we connect our tasks and role to the larger purposes we're serving in the company and in the world. We prioritize staying connected to our personal + professional purpose in the micro, mundane tasks as well as the epic ones.
We are all wired to create and aren't fulfilled unless we're given a range of freedom to tinker and make decisions. We consider everyone a creator and the organization as a network of co-creators.
We train around + reward kindness above all other leadership attributes because it is literally the heart of any organization that aims to create a people-based culture from the inside out.
"Without a doubt, I’d work with Cat again on any project of consequence."
- Greg S., CEO, Shadowbox
"If there are others more naturally “people-centered” than Cat, I've never met them. So in the areas of community, connectedness, interpersonal-relatedness or simple friendship from one human being to another, I can't recommend Cat highly enough. If you're in the business of people in any fashion, consider her an asset. You will be thankful that you found her."
- Cedi A., Principal, Night Fire Media
"When my time is blocked off for a meeting with Cat, I know with confidence that it is going to be time well spent ... Recently she has helped me face the fears of starting a business and creatively letting go in my writing, allowing me to move forward in my dreams with confidence!"
- Yashica A., Founder, MathPsych
"Cat has the unique ability to join high level leaders, oftentimes set in a blind spot of their own reductionism, and expand their ability to not only lead others but to love others better."- Nick W., Founder & CEO, Cyclical Inc.
